QUARTZ Division

QUARTZ (SiO2) is a glass made of pure silic acid (SiO2) and is manufactured by melting high purity silic acid
more than 2,000 ℃ with impurities of several hundred ppm. The amount of metal impurities contained in the QUARTZ is extremely small, with at most 10 ppm (one in 100,000) and less than 10 ppb (one in 100 million), which is characterized by very high purity.

Properties of material

  • It has good transmission characteristics in a wide range of wavelengths from UV rays to infrared as well as visible visible light.
  • High purity SiO2 Bay and extremely trace amounts of metal impurities.
  • The heat-resistant softening point is very high at about 1700 °C and can be used up to a high temperature of 1000 °C.
  • It is difficult to invade drugs and is chemically very stable and has excellent resistance to drugs.

Major application field

  • Used as tools or consumables for transmitting process progress of semiconductor wafer manufacturing process.
  • Create small, multidisciplinary orders based on equipment process type.
  • Widely used as a material for lighting, optics, optical fibers, etc.
  • Essential insulators for special measuring and communication devices
